Namchi, August 25 (IPR): The Power Department, Government of Sikkim, has announced a scheduled power shutdown at the Ghurpisey 66/11 kV Sub-Station on 29 and 30 August 2026, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The shutdown has been necessitated to facilitate the timely execution of works under the ADB Package-I projects.

Areas to Be Affected

As a result, power supply will remain temporarily interrupted in Damthang, Ghurpisey, Chuba Perbing, Bhanjyang, BSNL/Sakha, and Bul Rong during the scheduled shutdown period.
