Mangan, August 25 (IPR): An Eye Screening Camp for students of Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS), Swayem, commenced at the school today in collaboration with the Health Department as part of a student welfare and healthcare initiative. The camp is being conducted over two days, August 25 and 26, 2026.

Screening Led by Ophthalmologist and Optometrist

The screening is being conducted by Dr Tenzing Yangchen Bhutia, Ophthalmologist, and Opto Albin Rai (Optometrist). Basic eye care and necessary medical guidance are also being provided to the students.

The camp aims to facilitate early identification of vision-related concerns and promote awareness of eye health among students. Regular screening can help detect vision problems at an early stage, which is important as undetected issues may affect reading, classroom participation, and academic performance.
